Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Assistant Project Manager to support our growing construction team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who thrives in the field and ensures that materials, schedules, and logistics stay on track. You’ll be instrumental in supporting day-to-day operations, helping crews stay efficient and productive on job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Coordination: Schedule and deliver construction materials to various job sites on time.
- Warehouse Oversight: Keep warehouse spaces clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
- Vendor Returns: Return unused or damaged materials to vendors when needed.
- Driving & Transport: Operate company trucks and tow trailers with equipment and materials.
- Permits & Paperwork: Assist in pulling permits and handling basic documentation with local authorities.
- Project Support: Help Project Manager with scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day coordination.
- Supplier & Subcontractor Communication: Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Job Site Monitoring: Observe job progress and report delays or issues to the team promptly.
- Safety: Follow safety protocols during driving, loading/unloading, and on job sites.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; college or trade school a plus.
- Experience in construction or warehouse environments preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving trucks and towing trailers.
- Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physically able to lift and transport heavy materials safely.
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, mobile apps).
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
